http://www.attachmentparenting.co.uk/ -
I found this website helpful as it informs soon-to be mothers "...building strong bonds by responding to children's' needs in a timely and sensitive way" they have provided many helpful information and resources needed to start attachment parenting. For example, being able to start an APUK group as many were feeling isolated and feeling as they couldn't turn to anyone that might have not been in the same situations as them. also they have blogs, stores, 1-1 support, blogs, books and top tips.

this is another post I found very interesting as a lady called Lynn Shattuck had gave her story on how she dealt with being a first time mother, and though it was very hard and exhausting because she was become so attached to her child, she would do some techniques very differently if she was to have another baby. She had agreed with attachment parenting but she thought she was becoming too attached to her baby and the baby relying solely on her attention.

Expresses the method of attachment parenting as the new on-going trend in the recent Time magazine where there was a 3 year old boy standing on a chair latched on to his mothers breast. AP guide sales had increased rapidly and many being intrigued into what this involves. More than thirty attachment groups have sprung in Britain and the AP Facebook site has attracted 1,500 new followers. This article just explains how big of a thing AP is becoming and many mothers switching their ways of bringing up their children. although others still agree with the normal way of upbringing and say that AP is just over complicating parenting. The evolutionary theory of attachment was first developed by the psychoanalyst John Bowlby. He stated that the way to bring up a emotionally healthy child is to be taken care of by a constant care-giver until the age of three, this ensures the survival of the child to grow up and reach maturity to reproduce. If the attachment between the care-giver and infant is disrupted or broken then this could result in serious consequences, like affectionless psychopathy.

Attachment Parenting International (API) is a worldwide educational association for this style of parenting. API identifies eight principles of attachment parenting. For example responding with sensitivity parents consider all expressions of emotions, including repeated tantrums, this is seen as a way of children try to get their parents attention. which should be taken seriously rather than punished or dismissed.
